Yesterday’s Recap – Yesterday’s play was topped off by an 11.00 horse scoring to win for trainer Tyler George and driver Trace Tetrick.  Fourboltmane went to the top and never looked back holding on in deep stretch to win by a length and a half.  The official trifecta combination was 7-1-10 and returned $69.55.

Breakdown:

Race 3: We go four deep to kick off the Pick 4 looking for a little bit of value.  #1 NATIVE SOUL SISTER rebounded nicely off a short layoff and put in a very big effort.  She draws the rail tonight and should have no issues with this field.  #4 TOWNLINE NANNY dropped in class last week and really looked sharp on the lead before tiring late against tougher.  Another class drop here which could spell victory.  #7 WISH UPON A ROCK won from this post last week against NW 2 company.  She has a good amount of early speed and when she is close to the pace she is always dangerous.  #9 KATIE CAN COOK was second last week after being impeded at the ¼.  She had a lot of ground to make up in that effort and looks to improve this week.

Race 4: #5 ROYAL REX picks up the services of Brandon Bates once against and this gelding has been the epitome of consistent as of late.  He has a good amount of early speed and should race back well.  #8 GUNS AN ROSES has been unlucky with the post draw as of late.  He steps back in class and should rebound.  #10 HANKS KID is another gelding that has been struggling with the post draw, but he gets along very well with Sam Widger.  I expect him to bounce back against these at longer odds.

Race 5: #3 NA NA NA BAATMAN draws well this week and is one of the more experienced horses in the field.  He isn’t the speediest gelding but likes to be around towards the end.  #4 SKYWAY BALLISTIC made an uncharacteristic break two starts back, then rebounded with a big effort coming home in 28.3 last week.  He could be tough against these this week.  #7 H-AND-N FLYBRET Took some time off after a strong effort at the fair two starts back finishing a game third.  He comes back off a qualifier that has him improving some.  Look for him to be closer at a price.  #9 SHADY’S STARLIGHT draws tough this week but has some big times to boot.  Possible contender tonight.

Race 6: #2 CHNTILLY LACE was parked the mile last week, so pitch that effort.  Before that her starts haven’t been all that bad, she is speedy which makes her a contender tonight.  Look for her to pop at a price.  #9 SCARLET V raced very well in the $5,000 claiming series, expecting more of the same from her tonight.
