Yesterday’s Recap – Yesterday’s play we almost had our first 0 for 4 day, but we were saved in the last leg thanks to a scratch and the favorite winning. The official Pick 4 was 2/6/2/2,9 and returned $235.35.
Breakdown:
Race 8: #1 GREEN MANALISHI S draws the rail again this week, but is coming off a pretty impressive effort at Pocono. He has a little bit of early speed and really has put things together this year. Look for him to be tough tonight. #2 SOVEREIGN DEO was a game-winner from post seven last time out, getting a perfect trip and scoring off of it. Look for him to be close to the pace against his week. #7 PRECISION was another winner against this group in the first leg of the series. He is another colt that likes to leave off the gait, I expect him to be close to the pace.
Race 9: #1 CAPTAIN AHAB gets McCarthy back this week after getting the perfect trip last week. In his two qualifiers getting ready for the races, he liked to be on the lead. I expect that he will get some kind of the same trip this week. #2 ODDS ON BOCA RATON just got up last week but had to come home in 26.2 to get the job done. He sat off the pace and had a ton of late kick when he finally shook free. I believe that he will be tough if he can get into the race early. #4 U S CAPTAIN gets Gingras back in the sulky after a very visually impressive performance last time out. He has a good closing kick and a lot of late power, do not leave this colt off.
Race 10: #3 GERRY had to work to get to the top last week through some pretty quick early fractions. He has a lot of speed and is a big contender here. #6 DON’T LET’EM has two straight victories both of them being on the lead. He has shown speed from the outside before, the post shouldn’t bother him here.
Race 11: #1 TREACHEROUS REIGN won decisively against this group last week, and is worthy of being a single. He showed a ton of promise last week with McCarthy in the sulky and I expect more of the same off the rail tonight.
