Yesterday’s Recap – There was no play of the day yesterday.

Breakdown:

Race 7: #1 YANKEE ARTILLERY draws well towards the inside this week and adds Russell Foster back this week.  The drop in class definitely plays to his advantage and I expect him to be on or near the lead early.

Race 8: #5 SAM MCSMITH adds Tetrick to the bike this week following a tough effort last week at Dover Downs.  He has been known to flash some early speed before if he can do that from this post he definitely is worth a look.  #7 CAPITAL BUILDER adds Kakaley for trainer Megan Roberts.  He is a speedy gelding who doesn’t normally lose when he is on the lead.  The class drop makes him valuable here.

Race 9: #2 ROCKTAVIUS draws inside following a game effort in his last start.  The connections add Kakaley this week with the big race in town.  He likes to be on or near the lead, I expect a good trip from here.  #7 SLICK TONY paced a huge mile at Dover last week where he lost to Duplicate N who is in the Potomac Pace.  Don’t ignore this colt on the outside.

Race 10: We hit the all button in the 2018 $100,000 Potomac Pace as it is a completely wide open affair and is one that could produce a price.  My top pick in the race though is #6 WESTERN FAME who moves into the Rene Allard barn after a private purchase.  He was fourth in a very tough TVG FFA Final, today’s field is a little bit easier than that.

Race 11: #1 WHITE ROLLS closed gamely from off the pace in his last two starts, he won’t be forced to do that here.  Callahan picks up the lines for trainer Amanda Malone and that should add a little something to this gelding.
