Yesterday’s Recap – We didn’t really come close yesterday with our top selection in the High 5 finishing a tough third.  Bubbie Boy was parked the mile from post eight and fought on in the stretch to score at 13/1.  The Super High 5 of 8/7/1/10/ALL returned $1,343.34 there is a carryover of $7,092.86 going into tonight’s High 5 with a guarantee of $25,000.

Breakdown:

Race 6: #2 ARITZIA HANOVER got the perfect trip last week against an easier company and just did not fire towards the end of the mile.  Tonight she gets a good post again, I am going to give her another chance in case it was the rail she did not like.  #6 GOLD STAR AURORA adds Lasix for the first time tonight following a trio of disappointing efforts.  She has a little bit of speed but is more of a closer.  Look for her late.  #7 DREA’S GOOD POWOW drops in class following some tough efforts from the outside.  This is another mare who isn’t the speediest but can close from behind.

Race 7: #5 STONEBRIDGE PEARL was scratched sick two starts back and didn’t bounce back all that well with Ingraham in the bike.  This is a big driver change to Hennessey which could make the difference.

Race 8: #3 SOPHIA SEELSTER is one of the more consistent horses in the group tonight and she has a good amount of early speed to contend with.  Once she makes the lead she is really tough to catch.  I’m looking for a decent effort here.  #4 ROYAL ENGAGEMENT adds Hennessey for the first time tonight and the other thing that is a first will be the trip to Pompano Park.  She has a little bit of early speed and is a little bit of a closer.  That versatility should not be ignored.  #6 MACY BLUE CHIP is another mare who is pretty versatile and should not be overlooked.  She is dropping in class tonight which also makes her very tough here.

Race 9: #2 LOVE HUNTER drew post ten last week and while it looks like he never fired, the line doesn’t do him justice.  He was coming late and only missed by a couple of lengths.  Going to give another chance this week.  #9 FAWN DE J made a break last week and just never recovered.  He gets a very tough draw tonight, but it’s hard to ignore Wally at a 6/1 morning line price.
