Yesterday’s Recap – There was no play of the day on Thursday because of Thanksgiving Day.

Breakdown:

Race 8: #7 FASHIONWOODCHOPPER makes his second start for trainer Ron Burke following a private purchase.  He looked good in the Matron and just missed against champion Six Pack.  Post-draw was tough, but he has a shot against a little easier.  #9 TUONOBLU REX qualified well following a pretty intensive layoff.  Another that gets a tough draw, but this post doesn’t seem to bother him all that much.  #10 LINDY THE GREAT only missed by a couple of lengths in the Breeders Crown a couple weeks back at Pocono.  He has shown ability before against some tough company, I think he has a chance against the easier company.

Race 9: #1 DIAMONDTOOTHGERTIE scored a pretty impressive win at Harrah’s Philly last week with McCarthy in the bike.  She draws well again this week, against a tough group, but looks like she should be able to hold her own.  #3 FOLLOWTHEWIND N gets Buter in the bike this week who has had his fair share of luck at The Meadowlands.  This mare has taken a liking to the Meadowlands racing strip and could be a value play.  #4 DELIGHTFULMEMPHISN hasn’t missed the board in the past couple of starts over all kinds of surfaces and track conditions.  Miller picks up the drive this week which could help him out.

Race 10: #2 CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A closed from off the pace and just missed in a really impressive qualifier last week.  He has a little bit of early speed to work with and should improve more with the second start on Lasix.  #9 LARRY KARR is a speedy gelding that has been known to handle the outside post before.  He faces a pretty competitive group this week while getting Bongiorno in the sulky for the first time.

Race 11: #4 IDEAL CANDIDATE was a winner two starts back from post eleven where he got a perfect trip floated to the outside, road cover and won easily.  In the G Notes final he had too far to come and just missed in the end.  Look for some improvement this week.  #5 FREESPIN N made a very uncharacteristic break two starts back at Harrah’s Philly and never recovered.  He faces a little bit easier company this week with a little bit of a better post draw.  Expect better.  #7 IDEAL ROMANCE gets Buter in the bike for the first time this week following a victory in the G Notes final.  He has a good amount of early speed to contend with and that makes him very dangerous.
