Yesterday’s Recap – We only hit two legs of the Pick 5 at The Meadows and neither produced that big of a price. It was a pretty competitive sequence, that was pretty formful. The Pick 5 of 2/4/6/5/6 returned $79.30
Breakdown:
Race 7: #1 EVALUATE draws the rail tonight after a tough third to Crystal Fashion in the PA Sire Stakes Championship. He has taken a little bit of time off, that is the only thing I am concerned about here. #7 MET’S HALL has really come into form since his game effort in the 2018 Hambletonian. He draws tough but is coming off a big effort in the Canadian Trotting Classic. Look for him to have a big presence in the race tonight.
Race 8: #6 NIXIE VOLO closed gamely after being parked the mile in the KY Sire Stakes final last out and looked extremely impressive. If she can bounce back off of that effort she could be very tough to beat tonight.
Race 9: #5 EUROBOND improved nicely with the addition of Lasix in his last start after getting a good trip and having to come up the inside. His final quarter speed is something that I would not ignore against these.
Race 10: #2 STAY HUNGRY looked very sharp in the Jug elimination where he had to fight off a lot of pressure from American History and Dorsoduro Hanover who were pressuring hard. After being DQ he was subsequently scratched from the final. He has had a week off which could help him here. #3 AMERICAN HISTORY enters this race off a three-race win streak, including a very game effort in the KY Sire Stakes Final. He is the deep closer of the field and will be around late, the question is when he will make his move.
