The Meadows Racetrack and Casino Race 9 (Pick 4)
Date: 8/6/2018 Carryover: $0  Guarantee: $5,000

Ticket: 2,5/7,8/4/3/2,4,8 – Cost: $9.00 (.50 base)

Yesterday’s Recap – Hambo Day, we went three-for-four in the Pick 4 and we were live to some pretty big numbers after scoring in the first three legs.  The sequence wound up being very competitive and it caused a very nice payoff.  The Pick 4 of 6/7/12/6 returned $389.55

Breakdown:

Race 9: #2 BELLA’S PUNKETT has won four of her last five starts all from outside posts.  She has a good amount of early contentious speed and that makes her a very strong contender.  #5 TRUSTWORTHY KID is dropping down in class after facing some tough preferred competition in his last few starts.  He gets the services of Charlino again who he tends to get along with.

Race 10: #7 TANGO STAR dropped down to face this group last week and left from this post and just missed at the wire.  He showed in that effort he has some very high cruising speed, I’d expect the same kind of effort today.  #8 CASH YOUR DREAMS closed gamely from off the pace last week.  He is not the speediest gelding but has a very strong kick in the end that makes him a definite play here.

Race 11: #4 CHURCH CHOIR picks up the services of Palone this week after a short stint at Pocono Downs where he didn’t have much luck.  Facing easier company, post improvement, and a positive driver change could make the difference.

Race 12: #3 WHAT A RUSH is one of the more consistent horses facing this group tonight.  He has been racing very well coming from off the pace and just missing in the end.  Look for him to get a better trip from the inside.

Race 13: #2 AIR QUOTES HANOVER has a little bit of early speed to contend with, but he is more of a middle move kind of horse.  He has won three of his last five starts all while being close to the pace.  Expecting a clean effort today.  #4 HIS EXCELLENCE showed speed last week and made a big move in the stretch He gets some post help and things seem to be improving for this Well Said gelding.  #8 CRUISE CONTROL has won two of his last three starts and jumps in class to face the tougher company.  He could be the value play of the sequence and should be considered.
