Breakdown:
Race 5: #1 OH JOSEPHINE draws well this week for trainer Nelson Willis, she got a picture-perfect trip last week and just tried late in the mile. Look for a better trip this week against an easier group. #6 SUMMER PARTY gets the services once again of Casey Leonard who has been getting along well with this mare. She draws a little tough but has shown she can come from off the pace before. Looking for a big effort tonight.
Race 6: #5 ROCKIN EDDIE gets a driver change to Casey Leonard after making a break before the start last week. He has a good amount of early speed which makes him a prime contender against this class with not a ton of speed in the race.
Race 7: #7 RINGO HOTSPUR has won three of his last six starts and handled the move from the fairs to the pari-mutuel track extremely well. If that success continues this week, he should have no issue scoring at a big price.
Race 8: With two singles in the Pick 4 I would not want to get knocked out with a long bomber so we are going to push the ALL button in the last leg. My top selection in the race is #5 DUNE DADDY who is coming from the fairs to the big track for the first time. It’s hard to tell from the lines where he likes to race, but it’s about where he likes to finish tonight and his consistency is hard to ignore.
