Yesterday’s Recap – We went two-for-four in
Breakdown:
Race 11: #1 FELONA picks up the services of Simon Allard following a break in her last start at Northfield Park. She has some early speed, but she hasn’t been the gutsiest horse as of late. Look for more off the rail this week. #6 SL ROYAL GEORGE has hit the board in every start where Ronnie Wrenn Jr. has been driving and that streak looks like it will continue this week. This gelding has a good amount of speed and should be pressuring the pace early.
Race 12: #3 HA HA gets a big driver change this week to Simon Allard after a tough effort from the rail last week. He doesn’t have a lot of early speed, but is a horse that can grind out a mile late if needed. #5 UBETTERUBETTERUBET was scratched sick in his last start and that is a little bit of a concern for me. He gets Irvine Jr. back in the bike this week, look for some improvement. #8 MORELAND FLASH adds Lasix for the first time tonight and that is always something that I look at from a wagering standpoint.
Race 13: #2 HERBINATOR gets a good draw after some tough races from the outside. Driver change to Wrenn could make the difference here tonight. #3 BOUNTY could be the value play tonight as she gets a driver change to Chris Lems and she drops in class looking for a better effort than last week.
Race 14: #2 ACTION METRO MAX has gotten some tough draws as of late, but returns to the inside where he normally races pretty well. He has a little bit of speed and can normally finish a mile very strongly. Driver change to Allard. #6 HALL OF MEMORIES is another gelding that could potentially show up with the addition of Lasix once again. He faces a little easier company with some horses that aren’t as consistent. That could play to his favor. #9 BROOKDALE FLETCHER looked really sharp last week from post nine. Wrenn gets the lines again who appears to get along with this gelding.
