Breakdown:
Race 6: #4 CASH REWARD didn’t get the best of trips last week against this class. She draws well again this week, and normally races very well when she is close to the pace. Look for a better effort this week. #6 SWEET DIAMOND just missed last week with David Miller in the sulky and she looked extremely sharp in that effort. She gets a tough draw, but I have a feeling that Miller will have her forwardly placed.
Race 7: This two-year-old colt and gelding trot is one of the harder ones on the card this afternoon. We hit the all button as we believe anyone can win and it may come down to who does not make a miscue. My top selection off the rail is #1 LINDY’S CRAZY HALL who gets Zeron back in the bike for trainer Domenico Cecere. He has a good amount of early speed and should be able to flash that off the inside. Throw out the last two starts.
Race 8: #1 CAROUSEL gets Zewron back in the bike tonight after a game effort in her first trip over the Lexington surface. She doesn’t flash a lot of early speed but tends to come flying from off the pace.
Race 9: Who is currently having a better year than trainer Jim Campbell who has been firing as of late with his trotters. He draws the inside with #1 CANTAB FASHION who has won four of his first five starts and the only start he missed the board he broke the entire mile. Since returning from that effort, it’s been all systems go. If he can stay flat he may upset the favorite. #9 GREEN MANALISHI S has been dominate through his short career thus far and has never been worse than second. I am always hesitant with two-year-old trotters, but this is a very nice colt.
