Yesterday’s Recap – Our single yesterday was scratched early and our ticket was null from the beginning.

Breakdown:

Race 1: We hit the ALL button in this very competitive $3,000 claimer to kick off the Pick 5.  My top pick in the race is #6 CAN U BE FUN who been up and down with the post position draw, but showed two starts back she could handle a tough draw.  She has some early speed, but she can also come battling from off the pace.

Race 2: #1 SOUTHWIND WHISKI showed a good amount of speed last week and tired in the end.  Tonight he gets Fisher back in the sulky who really gets along well with this gelding.  Look for a big effort off the rail.  #2 BEECHWOOD WAYNE is a speedy little gelding and has spent his time up and down in classes.  Tonight he faces easier again, and if he can get off the car well he could be a force to be reckoned with.  #8 OK GALAHAD picks up the services of Morrill again this week after a dominating effort last week.  He has a lot of speed, the question here is going to be can he get into a good enough early position.

Race 3: #2 MONTEZUMA BLUECHIP is the only gelding in the field with a final time that is overly quick.  He picks up Cummings this week after a very game effort last out.  The drop in class can’t hurt.

Race 4: #4 BACK TO MOTOWN is probably going to be setting the pace this week or be very close to it.  He gets Baumeister back in the bike tonight and could potentially steal one.  #6 U TURN HANOVER has struggled over the past couple of starts, but he gets the services of Morrill this week which could spice things up.

Race 5: #4 ZIPNTHRUTHEHALL is a speedy gelding who is dropping in class and gets Monti back in the bike.  He was parked the mile last week and if he gets a better trip, he will be very tough.
