Yesterday’s Recap – We were short by two legs in the Pick 4 at Northfield on Monday night scoring only in the first two legs.  Chris Lems has made his presence felt in Northeast Ohio and that didn’t change last night with a score in the second leg with 12/1 Barn Sis.  The Pick 4 of 4/4/3/2 returned $1,457.00.

Breakdown:

Race 9: #2 RD MAJESTIC is one of the more consistent horses in the field tonight and showed a lot of promise against Pari-mutuel Company for the first time last week.  She gets a much better draw this week and looks like she could strike again.

Race 10: #2 APRIL AVA draws inside and drops in class this week after a game effort in the fair final.  She has a good amount of speed to contend with and that is something appealing about her that I like.  #8 SHEZMYLILROCKNROLL got to the lead in the fair final, then tired towards the end after some pretty taxing early and middle fractions.  She gets a tough post tonight but should be able to show up against this class.  #9 SHOW THEM TO ME is another filly in the group this week that has been known to flash some early speed.  She gets a driver change this week to Indof this week that could make a difference.

Race 11: #1 RV JANET has struggled in her last couple of starts, but she has been battling sickness and outside draws.  She does have some early speed to contend with, I look for her to be closer this week with Zendt back in the bike.  #5 YOU’RE MAJESTIC was parked to the first quarter last week and still managed to hold on for second after a game effort.  She draws well this week and drops in class, if she can fire off the gate she will be tough this week.

Race 12: #7 INFINITY PLUS is one of the more consistent horses in the field this week and she is also a very versatile mare which is something else that impresses me.  She stays against tough company, but if she scores it will be at a price.  #8 MAKE MINE IDEAL has won two of her last four starts two of those at The Meadows.  She has a lot of early speed to contend with and that is something that should not be ignored.

Race 13: #4 RAINBOWINTHEWEST has won two of her last three and hasn’t missed the board in her last five starts.  She is a very competitive and versatile mare who has shown a lot of promise thus far in her short career.  Definitely worth a play.
