Hoosier Park Racing and Casino Race 14 (Super Hi-5)
Date: 7/11/2018  Carryover: $6,686.61 Guarantee: $20,000

Ticket: 1,6/1,5,6/1,2,5,6/1,2,5,6,10/ALL– Cost: $19.20 (.20 base)

Yesterday’s Recap – Yesterday was a little difficult with a couple of prices during the Pick 5, however, it paid off for gamblers who had the sequence.  There was a lot of value because of the carryover and the combination of 5/2/3/7/6 returned $12,911.50 for a .50 cent investment.

Breakdown:

Race 14: #1 TELL MARCIA has been caught on the outside in her only two pari-mutuel efforts.  Tonight she draws the rail and shouldn’t have that tough of a time getting into a position as she has had in her two previous starts.  She will be closer to the pace tonight.

#6 GORGEOUS RANAY scored against the two-year-old fillies on June 12 just hanging on at the end of the mile.  Last week though, things didn’t go her way as she was forced to come first over and tired towards the end of the trip.  Tonight she gets another tough draw but is looking for improvement.

#5 SHEZLOCKEDNLOADED has drawn tough as of late but gets a little bit of relief here and Sam Widger is back in the sulky.  Widger last drove this filly to a third-place effort in a qualifier in mid-June and she looked very good in that effort.  Driver change makes the difference here.

#2 XENIA ONATOPP draws the rail and gets a driver change back to De Long tonight.  De Long has hit the board with her before and I would expect her to be close again.

#10 SHADY MADAM draws very tough towards the outside, but she has proven she can handle it.  Two starts back, she closed from off the pace to finish a strong third.  Luke Plano returns to the controls.
