Breakdown:
Race 11 is a tough race where the pace scenario is going to depend solely on who breaks and who doesn’t. There is not a lot of speed in the race, which also makes this play very interesting.
#2 OUTOFBAIT is my top selection and is a filly that can set the fractions early and create some sort of speed on the front end. She has had a couple of tough races of late against better Indiana Sire Stakes horses. I believe the drop in class will help her immensely.
#8 SWANS BELLE has won two of her last three starts and is really beginning to come into form. She gets the slight nod over ALASKA who is going to be tough sitting just to her inside. She is a filly that really likes to close and seems to get over the Hoosier Park track well.
#7 ALASKA was scratched sick six days ago on June 5. She draws a little tough this week, but has shown a big ability to close from off the pace in a tough spot and hit the ticket at decent odds.
#9 MISS LADY HALFMOON gets a driver change this week to Trace Tetrick after a couple of tough efforts against better competition. She drew outside, but the class drop should play to her favor and allow her to be closer to the pace.
#4 BLUEBIRD SUNSHINE raced extremely well against this class over a sloppy going in her last start and closed gamely. She is a filly who has a lot of potential to strike underneath and could also provide some value.
