Breakdown:
Race 9: #4 FLEUR DE HILL steps up in class tonight after a couple of game efforts against the conditioned company at Yonkers Raceway. She gets a driver change this week and has a little bit of speed to flash. Look for her to be close to the pace and come firing late. #5 SUPER TRUMP made a break in her last start and never fired after that. When she stays flats she is a very tough competitor and should not be ignored.
Race 10: #3 BLURRED LINES could play spoiler towards the inside with Tony Hall in the sulky. He has a good amount of speed and when he is close to the pace, normally performs very well. Looking for some improvement here. #7 VERY LOUDLY is a speedy mare who has shown the ability to leave even from an outside post. If she can avoid being stung in the first quarter she has a big chance. #8 MISS READ is another with a tough draw towards the outside and it doesn’t help her that she is stepping up in class either. The one thing she has in her favor is she likes to win. It may be tough from out here, but you will definitely get some value if she shows up. #9 CLASSIC COMEDY has won two of her last three starts against this class. She draws tough as well this week but could do big things from here with Palone back in the sulky.
Race 11: #5 PRAIRIE COWGIRL has a good amount of early speed and has proven that she can hang with the lower level condition so she will move up this week. She has won four of her last five starts and should continue that success here.
Race 12: #9 TOM CATTIN won by 9 lengths in his last start from post five and destroyed the field in 1:55.1. If this gelding can repeat that effort even in the slightest then he should have no problems with this field. Jumping in class will for sure make things interesting.
Race 13: #2 WHERE’S MY PEBBLE has only missed the board once in six starts and that was at a fair in PA. She gets Rawlings back in the sulky this week and while she isn’t a big speed horse I look for her to be flying late. #4 ROWDY ROADIE is another that has only missed the board once in six starts. The difference between this horse and my other selection is that this mare tends to flash speed. I look for her to be apart of the early pace-scenario.
