Yesterday’s Recap – We didn’t get close in the trifecta last night at Hoosier Park as a long bomber took center stage during Indiana Sire Stakes action at Hoosier Park.  Smilenmyles was stretched out on the front end and closed from off the pace scoring at 85/1 over Pure Rock who was second at 47/1.  The official trifecta was 6/4/5 and returned $5,183.60 for a $2.00 investment.

Breakdown:

Race 5: #1 FOX VALLEY LINCOLN draws the rail this week and showed improvement with a drop down to this class last out.  He was Bell’s choice this week, look for him to be close to the pace and firing late in the stretch.  #3 SCRAPPY KIWI hit the board in his first two lifetime starts, that streak should culminate with a victory tonight.  #6 BAY BOMBER showed speed last week and then something went wrong and he faded badly, look for improvement tonight.  #7 MIGHTY OAK MICHAEL made a break before the start last week that took him out of the race.  Class drop and a little bit of speed could help here.

Race 6: #1 YOUMAKEMYHEARTSING had to come from off the pace and make a lot of ground up last week, to finish a game second.  He has some early speed to contend with as well and that versatility could make the difference this week.  #7 RINGO HOTSPUR is one of the more consistent horses facing the group tonight, steps up to face a little tougher and could provide a little bit of value.

Race 7: #6 CANTHELPBUTWIN gets a tough draw tonight, but takes a step back in class to face the easier company.  He has some early speed and should be close to the pace, the driver change could make the difference.  #7 CAVIART SPENCER closed gamely last week and just missed, expect another game effort at big odds tonight.  #8 BRUNO MICHAEL has had some bouts with sickness, but when he is on he is on.  Look for him to return to form tonight with a driver change.  #10 CJ’S REAL DEAL needed his last start where he was coming back from a bout of sickness, I think he could rebound tonight.

Race 8: #2 ROCKIN EDDIE has gone to the lead and hit the board in his last three efforts.  Picks up Wilfong tonight to continue the dominance.  #3 SPORTS COWBOY has hit the board in three of his last four starts and all of them have been coming from off the pace.  I look for him to be close and fire late.  #6 ROCKNROLL HIGH could be close to the pace this week and this class seems to suit him well.  #9 ADELE’S BIG PARTY could lead to more value in the Pick 4.
