Yesterday’s Recap – There was no Play of the Day yesterday

Breakdown:

Race 7: #2 BROADWAY CREDIT was scratched last week and hasn’t been on the track since October 18.  He has a good amount of early speed and has been improving every start. Look for more this week.  #5 CELBRITY EVENTSY put up a really big TrackMaster number last week against this class.  The fractions weren’t the softest in that start either, look for continued success this week from mid-pack.  #8 TROLLEY looks to have been qualifying pretty well for trainer Erv Miller.  This horse has a good amount of speed and can fly home if needed.  #9 SIMPLY VOLO has won two of his last three and now faces the easier company.  He gets another tough draw following a victory from post-six at Saratoga.

Race 8: #5 FOLLOWTHEWIND N didn’t get the best of trips last week and still only managed to finish 2-3/4 lengths off the lead.  When she is close to the pace she races well.  Look for her to change tactics this week.  #8 DELIGHTFULMEMPHISN enters this race for trainer Nifty Norman off a couple of game efforts, one from the inside and one from the outside.  She has handled the jump in class pretty well and if she can overcome post eight, she will be tough.  #9 FAMILY ROLL CALL gets Gingras in the sulky for the first time this week following some decent efforts at Pocono.  If she can stay flat, she may have a chance.

Race 9: #2 PEGASUS POINT has won two of his last four against the company at Vernon Downs.  Tonight he steps up to face a group that may be tougher, but he looks up for the challenge.

Race 10: #1 DOV’S SONG hasn’t done much winning as of late, but the class relief could play to her hand this week.  She gets a good draw as well and could be one of those coming from off the pace.  #3 DANDY’S BEAUTY has won three of her last four starts at Freehold and now steps up to the big stage for the first time in a few starts.  She has a good amount of heart and speed.  #7 FROG POND PRINCESS draws tough towards the outside but gets a big driver change to Dunn this week.  The step back in class could also play to her favor.
