Yesterday’s Recap – We struggled in the Pick 5 yesterday, not being able to convert in any of the legs.  The Pick 5 of 6/5/4/8/5 returned $24,282.20.

Breakdown:

Race 9: #2 BLUEBERRY BABE gets a better draw this week and she has been somewhat competitive when she draws an inside post.  She isn’t the speediest mare but can pick up her feet towards the end of the mile.  #6 MAGIC SPEECH has had a small case of seconditis as of late, but this filly has been passing horses which is something that I like to see in younger horses.  She will have her work cut out for her here, but could make a presence.

Race 10: #2 HURRICANE CALLEIGH was a dominant winner against lower level company l.ast out and looked very sharp on the racetrack.  She gets a good draw this week and will most certainly be apart of the early pace-scenario.  #9 AREYOUREADYGIRL N has won four of her last five starts and has so far adapted to racing in the US pretty well.  She gets a tough post to the outside, but she has a ton of early speed to help her get off the car.

Race 11: #6 TOM CATTIN gets the services of Palone again this week who really gets along well with this gelding.  He has a good amount of speed and can come from off the pace.  That versatility is something you don’t want to ignore.

Race 12: #2 BAD TIGRESS drops in class after a game, but a tough effort at Delaware.  Today she draws towards the inside and should get a much better trip against a somewhat easier company.

Race 13: #4 EDEN’S LUCKY CHARM was parked to the first quarter at Delaware and just tired towards the end of the mile.  Today she draws towards the inside again and should be forwardly placed and get a better trip.  #5 PRECISION HANOVER has a big ability to show speed but also has the presence to come from off the pace.  She looks very dangerous after that last effort with Palone in the bike.  #7 NURSE PIE Q has won four races this season, two of which have happened within the last couple of weeks.  Look for a big effort even with a tough post draw.
