Yesterday’s Recap – We went three-for-five in the Pick 5 yesterday, including scoring a victory with 16/1 shot Lima Novelty who scored from post twelve with Scott Zeron in the bike.  The Pick 5 was not hit last night at The Meadowlands, the official order was 6/2/8/6/12 (4 of 5) and paid $225.05.

Breakdown:

Race 7: #2 FRONTIER SHIRLEY has had a good amount of luck against this class with two draws to the outside.  She doesn’t have a lot of speed, but has the ability to come from off the pace.  Post two could allow her to pocket up and fire late.  #3 SHOOTING COOL takes a drop in class after some tough efforts against upper level company.  The draw was kind to her, facing older foes is her biggest challenge.  #7 BIG BAD MAXINE gets a driver change tonight to Tyler Sheehan after making a break against this class last week.  When she is on, she fires.  Look for her late.

Race 8: #2 DOUBLE INDEMNITY has won two straight against this class with Juan Franco in the bike, and in both of those efforts he was coming from off the pace.  He has a good amount of late kick and should fire here.

Race 9: #4 ISLAND CAMPAIGN has won two straight and handled the move up to this class last week extremely well.  She has shown speed in her last two efforts and she could very well be the pace setter this week.  #6 OVER SPEEDING scored against lower level company last week, and one thing that has plagued this filly is the post draw.  She draws tough again this week, but if she can get rolling a hair sooner she could be tough.

Race 10: #4 FOX VALLEY MIRANDA is one of the more consistent horses in the group tonight and has handled her own very well against these.  She draws well this week and likes to be apart of the early pace scenario.  #8 PRETTYFACEUGLYWAYS scored at the fair in her last start winning by seven lengths.  She returns to Hawthorne tonight looking to continue off that successful outing.
