Running Aces Race 7 (Pick 4)
Date: 6/17/2018  Carryover: $0   Guarantee: $7,500

Ticket: 6,7/1,4,8/5,7,8/4 – Cost: $9.00 (.50 base)

Yesterday’s Recap – We didn’t have much luck yesterday with our Pick 4 at The Meadows with only one winner out of the four.  The longest price in the sequence came from Crew Sock Hanover who sat back off the pace and closed home with authority to win paying $43.00.  The pick 4 combo was 4-1-1-5 and returned $468.80.

Breakdown:

Race 7: #6 SQUIRRELLY SUE had to really fight from post eight last week, coming three-wide around the last turn, but she raced extremely well and just missed in the end.  She gets a better draw this week and that could make her competitive.  #7 STONEYCREEKS HOPE is the first racing foal out of Prisoner Of Hope.  There isn’t a whole lot to go off of, but the qualifier wasn’t all that bad for her first time around the racetrack.  While the draw wasn’t that nice to her, she could sneak her way into the race at a price.

Race 8: #1 CENALTA DIAMOND has won three of his last four starts, two of them being from the outside and she won them in hand.  She draws the rail tonight against a little tougher, but should be up to the task.  #4 LINCOLN is another very consistent gelding that has been doing his fair share of winning against this class and just missed last out with Steve Wiseman in the bike.  There is no reason to think she won’t be a part of the pace early.  #8 MR RANGER just got up in his first start off the layoff for trainer Gene Miller last out.  Tonight he draws tough, but he picks up James Yoder who seemed to get along very well with him.

Race 9: #5 FIREDRAKE sort of flopped from post eight last week closing some late as the favorite, but just couldn’t get rolling.  He has shown a lot of promise against open company before and his back class should shine through.  #7 HAWK’S RED CHIEF is a horse I have seen many times before and has been racing well since coming to Running Aces two weeks ago.  He will likely be a shorter price, but shouldn’t be ignored.  #8 TO THE LIMIT somehow flies under the radar each week and still scores.  Tonight, Steve Wiseman chooses off to the inside and he gets Timothy Brown who gets along with him.  Look for him late in the mile.

Race 10: #4 ALWAYSALITTLEMORE is one of the more consistent horses in the field tonight.  He last scored in mid-May and I feel like tonight is his night.  He has a good amount of speed and when he is on or near the pace is when he is normally his best.
