Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment Race 6 (Pick 4)
Date: 6/15/2018  Carryover: $0   Guarantee: $50,000

Ticket: 1A (1&1A)/4,6,7/8/3,4,8 – Cost: $4.50 (.50 base)

Yesterday’s Recap – Well things looked very good after we got our single home in the third leg, but we just couldn’t get the six home in the fourth leg to get knocked out.  The official Pick 5 was 2,3,9/5/2/4/5 and paid $174.60.

Breakdown:

Race 6: #1A KAITLYN N was a new shooter coming from overseas for trainer Josh Parker and she has proven thus far that she likes the different American tracks.  She has a good amount of speed and can also come from off the pace making her extremely dangerous.  She is the play from post six tonight.

Race 7: #4 APOTHIC gets a good draw tonight for trainer Mark Harder, she raced well, but tough in her last start at Tioga Downs.  She likes to be close to the pace and post four should allow her to do that.  #6 PRINCESS HOLLY N is another new shooter to the US from overseas and has packed a powerful presence so far.  There isn’t a lot of early speed so I could see her on the front end early.  #7 MACH THE CUT draws tough towards the outside but has a little bit of a breaking issue which I am concerned about.  Facing easier company, with some back class could make her tough here.

Race 8: #8 CLIFTON BEACH moved up to this class last week and handled it with absolute disdain.  He really had to work hard coming from mid-pack and getting passed at the ¾ pole, but he fought on to win by a nose.  Tonight he draws a little tough but should be in the mix with his late closing kick.

Race 9: #3 SUN SHINES BRIGHT has been qualifying well for trainer Jimmy Takter and his last qualifier really jumps off the page to me.  He went to the lead and never looked back in that effort closing home in a very strong 27.1.  She picks up Yannick tonight, which makes her a contender.  #4 HURRIKANE EMPRESS has hit the board in her last three starts just missing against NJSS contender Hypnotic Tale.  She drops in class to face a little easier company this week and I expect her back class to come through.  #8 IDEAL LIFE made his first career start on June 8 and she powered to the lead showing how gritty of a filly she is.  She could score at decent odds this week.
