Grand Circuit

For nearly 150 years, the Grand Circuit has been the “Big Leagues” of harness racing and you can join the action for free, competing for a chance at $100,000 in the Grand Circuit Challenge by signing up here.

The Grand Circuit was founded in 1873 at four tracks encompassing thirty-six races for total purses of $175,000. From those humble beginnings, the series has evolved to include twenty-five tracks across North America representing nearly five hundred races with the 2015 purses exceeding $55 million.
Driving stars like Stanley Dancer, WR Haughton, Bill O’Donnell and John Campbell have inspired debate among fans and followers over the years as to who is the best of all time. Great horses such as Meadow Skipper, Albatross, Super Bowl, Somebeachsomewhere and Muscle Hill contributed mightily to the history that makes the Grand Circuit so special.
Today, the Grand Circuit continues to thrive and generates the same level of interest and anticipation among fans of horse racing who gather to see harness racing’s finest compete over their home tracks. Learn More.
