DerbyWars.com to offer $10,000 online harness racing contest Saturday

DerbyWars, horse racing’s leading contest site, will host its first-ever $10,000 harness contest including two World Harness Handicapping Championship (WHHC) seats on Saturday (Dec. 2), featuring racing from the Meadowlands and Woodbine.

The $10,000 contest offers a $4,000 first prize, plus two $1,000 entry seats to the $75,000 WHHC presented by DerbyWars at the Meadowlands on April 28, 2018. The entry fee is $230, with the $10,000 prize pool based on 50 entries.

Players may qualify for as little as $19 every night on DerbyWars.com, or on Saturday night during the early races. A full list of qualifiers for the $10,000 harness contest and the WHHC can be found at www.derbywars.com/tournaments/list/whhc.

The $10,000 game will consist of the second half of the races at the Meadowlands and Woodbine starting at approximately 9:30 p.m. (EDT). The format is a mythical $2 Win-Place-Show contest, where players will pick one horse in each race over 12 races and earn payouts equivalent to $2 Win-Place-Show payouts at the track, subject to maximum payouts.

DerbyWars hosts WHHC qualifiers every Saturday night and has already qualified six players for the 2018 WHHC. The list of players already qualified includes:

• Gary Respecki, MI
• Travis Foelsch, CA
• Stephen Levine, CA
• Mark Kunen, NY
• Russell Slader, NJ
• Shirley Kunen, NY

More information on the 2018 WHHC can be found at the Meadowlands’ website.
