When talking fashion for horse races, fancy dresses and overly large sunhats come to mind. However, that is not the case for the Breeder’s Crown at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Ladies! We all know what fall is best for… Big sweaters and black booties. Comfort is key during this time of the year because if you’re uncomfortable and cold, you will not be very happy. We want you to be happy at the racetrack so go for comfort! Throw on your biggest and comfiest sweater with a pair of leggings and booties for a comfy yet still fashionable look. It can get chilly at night, so throw some gloves into a simple shoulder bag just in case. To add some sparkle, simple silver jewelry can tie the outfit together. If you’re a horse girl, flaunt your Bow River horse shoe ring for some equine shine.

For the guys, a simple khaki and pullover combination can make anyone look and feel good. Polo Ralph Lauren has pullovers that are sleek and warm. With the cold weather, a long sleeve shirt underneath is always a good idea, especially when the sun goes down. A pair of neutral colored shoes like a classy Converse-type shoe or Sperrys are good for this look because they have the comfort of casual shoes but the look of more professional shoes. Don’t forget about a nice watch! A silver or gold watch that is not too flashy can add a little “dapper” aspect to your Breeders Crown look.
